To be fair, Ava has been bathed before - it was just the first time with us. And it was the first full bath, as I have had to do her little feet a few times (she has had a tummy upset, and has a propensity for stepping in her business when she is covering it!)
Today's bath started as an emergency to clean her poo-ey feet, and then I just thought I'd do the whole thing. And Kato as well, who was overdue by 4 days for a bath. It was great! Kato was more problematic than Ava! (See my other posts for how I bathe them).
Here they are enjoying the drying ritual in front of the heater. Actually, it's a bit more into the phase of zonking out in front of the heater!
Just prior, as part of the drying process, Ava also got to meet the cat brush. How like Kato was she!
She mirrored his first reaction of not being so sure about the brush as a brush. But it was mighty fine to chomp on! I suppose the bristles are very nice to chew when a kitten is teething - and Ava has just cut her adult teeth on the right side. Her reaction was priceless when I ran the brush over her belly...complete astonishment that that felt so good! Her last moments with the brush, after such a big day, were to use it as a pillow!

It took me a while to find a cat brush that I liked for our Korats. They only have one coat of fur, so shedding is minimal, and the fur they have is fine and close-lying. Which means I wanted a SOFT brush. Seems to be hard to find...I guess as most cats have more fur to get through. I eventually found a soft brush at Kmart - test how soft it is by pressing/stroking against your own skin. For those of you who have cats with more fur, and greater grooming requirements, these ideas and tools might be helpful: http://www.wayofcats.com/blog/the-knotty-question/9102
