We were somewhat more surprised with Ava, as despite our efforts, she persists on mainly eating Ziwipeak 'raw without the thaw', which is basically jerky. We have caught her munching on Kato's bones though. As they are given overnight, this might be going on more regulalry than thought because her teeth are GREAT! Our vet also hypothesised that perhaps the jerky was doing something to swipe the teeth - it is NOT afterall, a shattering biscuit, or comprised of carbohydrates that are simply sugar in the mouth and turn into an acid attack on teeth (human and feline). But the real winner for good teeth is the gnawing on boney chunks and meaty chunks!
Kato is now just shy of 6 years old! And our Ava is 3.5years. Annual check up = TICK :)
